This package implements coverage checking for the two prototype problems explored in the paper by Cousins, Linnemann, and Tucker [arxiv:physics/0702156] (referred to in the code and the included README as "The Paper"), which they called the "on/off problem" and the "Gaussian-mean background problem". Currently, three significance estimators are implemented, which are the three that were explored in The Paper: Z_Bi, the exact solution to the on/off problem; Z_N, a hybrid frequentist-Bayesian recipe; and Z_Pl, a method based on the profile likelihood method of MINUIT-MINOS. The code implementing the significance estimators is independent from the coverage-checking code and can be used standalone.
