C++

Major Toolset

A package that provides statistical tools for evaluating significance of a signal. Multiple channels can be combined using the formalism of the LEP Higgs Working Group (likelihood ratio as a test statistic, Fourier Transform for analytic convolutions, and systematics incorporated via a Bayesian-style smearing or Cousins-Highland technique). Programs are also included for single channel using Poisson statistics with and without systematic errors. Fortran bindings are also provided for convenience. The code is the subject of ``Challenges in Moving the LEP Higgs Statistics to the LHC'' published in the proceedings of PhyStat2003, PSN MODT004 and available via the arxiv at [physics/0312050]
